book review | "this modern love" |
Hello everyone!
I know I haven't posted in a while but I had a lot of stuff to do. But, I'm finally here with a book review. Yaay...So the book is the "this modern love" by Will Darbyshire. Here's a little background story. As I'm from Hungary, local book stores here don't sell a lot of english books, that's why I ordered it from amazon. I didn't scroll down to the end of the page so I didn't see that it wasn't a new book. So I ordered it and a couple of month later it was finally in my hands. I saw that the book wasn't a new one. I read the page through and I saw that it wasn't new but it was SIGNED. I turned the first page and it was there. Will's sign was there. It was so unbelievable. I know that for a lot of people it's not a big deal at all but for me I literally had no chance to walk in a book store and get my book signed by Will. End of the story...
So back to the review first I wanna talk about the cover. It's so clear-out and mondern and it just speaks for itself.
The contexture of the book is also pretty amazing.
As you know Will collected love and breakup letters, letters to crushes, messages, tweets, etc. And also he asked people to describe love with only one word. He did a pretty good job I think.
There are 3 major parts of this book: beginning, middle, end
1. Beginning: It's all about crushes. In this chapter there are letters and messages to crushes. Some of them are sooo hilarious and there are also some cute, romantic ones. It's so damn hard to choose one favourite but I tried, so this one's it: short and beautiful
2. Middle: The sweetest, most romantic, sometimes the cringiest but also the cutest letters in the world. I couldn't choose a fave one 'cause each one is beautiful and the best one in it's own way.❤
3. End: I literally cried because the breakup letters were so sad. Each one told us a short story about how a lovely relationship can end. I couldn't find a favourite one, sorry.
4. And at last there are some additional photos which mainly came with the letters.
The hall book is so amazing I can't even describe it. If you like romance, I would definitely recommend this one, and also it is such an easy reading I finished it in two days.
I think that was all I could say about this reading, I hope you liked it and found it helpful or interesting, see you next time! ;)
